Pepper Bridge, Amavi hire new sales, marketing manager

A new sales and marketing manager has joined Pepper Bridge Winery and Amavi Cellars.

Katie Sadler, certified specialist of wine, joined the sister estate wineries May 1, bringing nine years of Washington wine experience working with wholesalers, hosting trade and media and promoting the Walla Walla Valley to the position.

Sadler comes to the wineries from Tamarack Cellars, where she managed wholesale and distributor communications, traveled to support the brand nationally and took an active role in promotions of the Walla Walla Valley, the announcement detailed.

“Katie adds another layer of professional expertise to our team,” said Jean-François Pellet, winemaker and partner. “Her experience in marketing will help advance our communications and outreach.”

She also comes at the 20th anniversary year for Pepper Bridge, which will be celebrated throughout the year.

The Washington State University graduate began developing a passion for wine with work in the tasting room at Ruby Hill Winery in Pleasanton, Calif. She moved to Seattle for work with the Washington Wine Commission, where she honed her skills in marketing and public relations before joining Tamarack.
